It is incredible to think that we are halfway through the first term. Time really does fly when you are having fun. We have a huge range of events coming up over the remainder of the term; swimming carnivals, excursions, camps and several school visitors.
The KDHS swimming carnival will be held on Wednesday, 10th March at the Geraldton Aquarena. We would love to see as many parents as possible, supporting the students as they compete for faction points and ultimately the right to claim that they are the best faction. This will be followed by the NCVISSA Swimming Carnival on the 25th March, again being held at the Geraldton Aquarena. This time we will be competing against Northampton DHS, Yuna PS, Binnu PS, Chapman Valley PS, St Mary’s for bragging rights as to being the best school. I’m really looking forward to both events
On the 24th February we had two officers from the crime prevention team from Geraldton come and present to our students and parents on how to ensure that we are all being safe and protecting our information when using the internet, social media and online gaming. I know that I learnt a lot from the presentation and trust that other parents found it as valuable as I did.
Year 7 Camp
Year 7 camp this year is in Pinjarra at the Fairbridge Camp Grounds. Information has been sent home to parents. Please ensure that camp fees are paid promptly.
NAPLAN comes up early next term more information will be coming out shortly.

The fees, charges and contributions, per child supplement the cost of purchasing resources for our students to participate in classroom and specialist activities, such as cooking, art etc and the purchase of consumables e.g. paper, clay, timber, food for students to use in the classroom.
