Sports activities with Shark Bay students

Last Friday we had a great afternoon of sport with the Shark Bay students who had come down for a camp. The 30 students split into 3 groups to take on Kalbarri in basketball, tee-ball and volleyball. Our Year 7/8 students represented Kalbarri as the Year 9/10s were out scaling the Murchison Gorge Cliffs with local tourist operator Kalbarri Abseiling. Our students played very well against the Shark Bay students who ranged in age from 12 to 17. A big thank you to the Shark Bay students for visiting and having such a good time.

The Kalbarri Canoe and Cray Festival was once again a great success on the long weekend. Thank you to all the community members involved in organising this awesome event. Congratulations to all students who competed in the Adventure-thon, to our Art Winners Jazz, Carly and Alby and to the pirates. The Golden Cray is still safe for another year.

Next Monday, June 12 and Tuesday June, 13 Ngala will be visiting the school and using our facilities to host a series of workshops for parents. These will include; on Monday 12.00 -2.30pm Anxiety, Worries and Fear: A Normal Part of Childhood, Tuesday 9.30 -11.30 am Guiding Children’s Behaviour 2-5 Year Olds and Tuesday 12.30 -2.30pm Transition to Teens. These will be informative workshops and valuable for all parent/carers. They will be held in the currently unused Pre-Primary Room and we would ask that all in attendance sign in at the Front Office on arrival.
