Returning to school in 2021

If your child will not be attending Kalbarri DHS in 2021, could you please inform the front office or email:

We will be starting the process of planning for 2021 this term. If you have any requests in terms of classes for 2021, please forward them to the front office in writing via email. We cannot guarantee that these requests can be met, but we will take them into consideration. Thanks

Good luck to the students competing in the Secondary Netball Carnival being held in Geraldton tomorrow. Mr Quimby and Ms Pearson will be keeping the school updated on their progress over the course of the day.

To kick off our NAIDOC Week celebrations we had a visit from local Nanda Elder, Colleen Drage. Ms Drage spoke with all the students across the school about growing up in Kalbarri as a child and her work out at the National Park with the newly completed ‘Kaju Yatka’. She also shared some local artefacts, bush tucker and history with the students. Over the course of next week, students will complete a variety of activities in classrooms to celebrate Australia’s rich Indigenous history.

This weeks assembly is being hosted by the Pre-Primary students. Please come down and support them as they perform their class item in front of the school.

The next school council will be meeting on the 27 November 2020 to support the school in it’s planning for 2021. An email will be coming out to council members shortly.

We were very fortunate to have award winning author, and local resident, Bren MacDibble in to talk with our students about being an author, and the process she uses to write her Young Adult and Children’s Books.
